Jazzy Jeffrey's Bay

For anyone who has ever had any dealings with Wanda from Jeffrey's Bay, you would be forgiven for thinking that she is part of the 'old boys' club. To set that record straight, Huizemark Jeffrey's Bay was only purchased by her in April 2000. The previous owner had started Huizemark six years earlier and Wanda saw great value and potential in the brand.

Starting off with only herself and Liezel, Jeffrey's Bay now boasts 12 agents with 4 admin staff. Wanda tells us that in 2000 the market down there was very slow but picked up tremendously, as it did all around South Africa, until last year when it boomed. Now because of the interest rate, the market has once again started to slow down.

When asked what makes her and her agents tick, Wanda has only one answer - "Clients looking for property!" Her secret to success? "To be in the market and on the ball every day. In other words, hard work."

One of her major hi-lights over the last six years was when her Franchise was nominated as Business of the year in Jeffreys Bay for 2005. Once again, this was only achieved through hard work, dedication and visibility.

Some words of wisdom for those just starting out, Wanda says that to be a successful Estate Agent requires giving everything of oneself, every half hour of the day!
